Calendaring Meeting

Hello Ministries!

It’s that time of year again! On June 19th at 6:30 p.m. we will be holding our calendaring meeting for this upcoming year. We are inviting the top 2 representatives in the 1st and 2ndpositions of your ministry leadership be present and bring a main dish and a dessert that will serve 6-8 people. If you don't have a "second" then it is time to start thinking about one!  Drinks and paper goods will be provided.  This evening will provide a time of fellowship, hear updates from our Pastor Fr. Mark, tell of important future events that all ministries need to be represented at AND clear up any calendar conflicts for the upcoming school year.

Attached are the forms for calendar scheduling for this upcoming year.  We will continue with the goal of having ONE Master Calendar for all communications from the Parish: meetings, donuts and other fundraisers, recurring and onetime events, etc.  This calendar is available 24/7 on the website. We kindly ask that you have prepared with you at this meeting your important dates for the next year and also your recurring event dates so that we can appropriately accommodate all our ministries.

The timeline is as follows:

June 7: Info sent out to all ministries with appropriate forms for submitting calendar requests

June 15: Deadline for returning form with requested dates.

June 15-19: Input all data for rough draft of calendar year and surface any possible conflicts.

June 19: “All Ministry Calendaring Meeting” in Hall 6:30 p.m.  Calendar conflicts resolved.

Love Your Enemies

Love your enemies.—Matthew 5:38-48

Can you picture getting to heaven, and the first person you meet is the one you liked least on earth? It’s possible.

After all, God loves that person just as much as he loves you.

About Our Church

Welcome to the website of St. Dorothy Catholic Church in Glendora, CA.

On this site there is information about our church and location, our schools and care facility. You will also find our history, and the most important aspect of our life together, the celebration of the sacraments.

We are an active Christian faith community. We are a parish within the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Los Angeles. Over the years, the parish has been served by religious orders as well as by diocesan priests.

We are equally blessed by a tremendous diversity among our parishioners. We have a large age range from babies and school children to the retired and elderly. As well, ethnic communities bring a richness to our parish. We believe that no matter what our age, culture or ethnicity we are brothers and sisters and together form the Body of Christ, the church in this place and time.
